PIB Bhubaneshwar,13 FEB 2024: A five-day capacity building programme for teacher educators of Bihar has been inaugurated at RIE Bhubaneswar. Organised by Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar a constituent of NCERT, the programme aims at orienting the teacher educators on different initiatives of Government of India for quality improvement of foundational learning. Thirty-six teacher educators from different teacher education institutions of the state have attended the programme. The five day programme would focus on different themes like NIPUN Bharat, National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage 2022, Jaduipitara, Game and Toy based pedagogy, Holistic Report Card, Engaging Families, Early Identification and Interventions, Parents and Communities in implementation of FLN Activities, Vidya Pravesh, Research, Monitoring, Supervision and Evaluation for effective implementation of FLN and other important areas. The resource persons include experts from NCERT, SCERT, NIPCCD and other reputed organisations. In the inaugural session, Prof.Ritanjali Dash, Head, Department of Extension Education, RIE, Bhubaneswar highlighted on the role of teacher educators in organising such programmes at the district level and block levels.
Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Head, Department of Education, RIE, NCERT, Bhubaneswar and the Programme coordinator presented the objectives of the programme. He highlighted the initiatives of the Government of India and NCERT based on National Education Policy 2020 like, NCFFS 2022, Vidya Pravesh, NIPUN Bharat, Jadui Pitra and ,NISHTHA-FLN for quality learning outcomes at foundational years. Dr Varun Ashokan presented vote of thanks. The resource persons include Prof Padma Yadav,Dr Romila Bhatnagar from NIE, NCERT, Dr Sitansu Senapaty from NIPCCD, New Delhi, Dr P.C.Brahma ,Principal,DIET,Kendrapara and Shri Binay Pattnaik.
